Title

Carita Robertson

Description

CaritaRobertson’s approach to teaching physical education was unique. One of her methods to teach was to take a hands-on approach. During her undergraduate years at the University of Wisconsin, she was part of the women’s basketball program. Her active lifestyle translated to her hands-on approach in her instruction in the classroom and on the field. She has set herself apart from her peers by incorporating a biological approach towards the teaching of physical education. In one other curriculum summaries for teaching physical education to high school girls, she wanted the girls to understand the relationship between physical activity and education. Some of the objectives of the curriculum were to maintain high functioning power and efficiency of the entire body, meeting and mingling with others, and participating in activities they liked.
